George Weaßean-s, aged 18, died in a . cab on the way to the hospital. His brother and sister are in Christchurch, and three brothers at Awn-buri, near Fielding. The cause of death was diarrhoea and internal hemorrhage. DANNEVIRKE, Feb, 13. Mr W. Darvill, the proprietor of the Post Office Hotel at Poxton, died suddenly here this morning. TEMUKA, Feb. 13. Mr Boyd Thomson, a well-known sportsman, was drowned at the mouth of the Rangitata this morning. His body has not been recovered yet. TIMAHU, Feb. 13. Mr Boyd Thompson, an old identity of North Otago and South Canterbury, was drowned in the Rangitata last night while fishing. He was over eighty years old. He was an enthusiastic angler, and a ranger for the Acclimatisation Society.
