!Jl' RE-CASTING OF THE MANAGEMENT TO TAKE PLACE. RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMMITTEE OF ENQUIRY. • For some considerable time past a Special .Committee, consisting of the whole Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural College, has been meeting in secret conclave, jto enquire into the management of the institution. The Chairman then reported in open Board than- the. committee iliad drawn up a report and a recommendation. The report was laid on the table, and the Board resolved to adopt the finding 'of the committee. The Press' representa.tiv.es were excluded from the_ meeting, but, as far as can be gathered, the following is ithe effect of the reconimendaiion adopted ;by the Board:—That, considering all the circumstances and the interests of agriculture, it -would be'advisable to re-cast the organisation of the management of the College, and that it would be desirable to appoint someone having more qualifications than the present, orlicer to take, charge of the institution in die capacity of Direct tor.
