TOUR OF THE VICTORIAN TEAM. ACCIDENT TO A WELL-KNOWN PLAYER. [Peb Press Association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, Feb. 12. Mr Allan Strang, the captain of the Oroua Polo Team, met with an accident while .practising on the Palmerston Polo Grounds yesterday. The pony which he was riding fell, with the result that Mr Strang's shoulder was dislocated, and his thumb sprained. The accident will dnterfere with the arrangements for the Oroua team playing Victoria. VICTORIA v. CANTERBURY. . The Victorian polo team which is hovr on » tour of New Zealand has arrived iitt Chris'tchurch, and will play a niaiteh,' to;day in the South Park against a, team from the Christchuroh Polo Club. The Victorians consist of Messrs Manifold, Affleck, Hoo.d, Colin, Robertson and George Robertson. They have brought with them twelve ponies, the majority of which are very fine animals. The match to-day will commence at 3 p.m., and the Christohureh Club will be represented by Messrs Heaton ■Rhodes (captain), Alister. Clark, W. H. P. Woodroffe, and E. D. O'Rorkc.
