TIHE DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL invites TEINDERS for the PURCHASE of 500 iDEBENTUR/ES of £IOO EACH, being the first portion required, of the Dunedin City Tramway Loan for the purpose of Purchasing, Extending, ATtexing, Renewing, and Repairing the stem of the Dunedin City and Suburbanamounting to £50,000. The Debentures will bear interest at file rate of £i per £IOO per annum, payable half-yearly. The currency will be for 21 years from the: first day of March, 1901. Principal and Interest may be made payable in London, Melbourne or Dunedin, at the option of the holders. The security for the Loan, in addition to the general indebtedness of the City of (Dunedin, will be the nett profits of the whole of the Tramways and property to be acquired or constructed under the provisions of " The iDu: edin, City and Suburban Tramways Act, 1900." No tender below par, or for less than £IOO, will be considered, and allotment- will be made 'to the highest tenderers and downwards until ■the amount of the Loan is absorbed.
