The “ Sydney Morning' Herald,” in sp-eaking .of, the performance, said: “Phil of startling, situations and blood-curdling schemes, it is 1 the kind of melodrama that exactly hits the taste of that large, section of the public which goes to the theatre.; It is most efficiently staged, the first-act giving aim ex-1 cellent-idea of the bustle .and.life of a great city, and .the audience were completely car-i tied away by the bird’s-eye view of London by night.” There are four’acts and 'njnescenes, and a tremendous effect will be.pixC d'uced when the- audience are introduced to the -interior of the Burlington Theatre, and witness the “flies,” “siage,” and a gorgeous transformation scene. The management have decided upon charging popular prices, and wish to intimate that the box plan will be opened to-day (Wednesday) at .Messrs Milner and Thompson’s,
