TO THE EDITOR. ' " Sir, —I wish to contradict the statement made in your paper of the 26th hrst, in to-; ference to being on my wrong side. I b:g\ to state I came from South over tiaeii bridge and turned to the east to deliver! my faro when the man riding was coming' 1 fast down Madras Street from North,. bending over the horse’s neck. The shaft’ of the cab did not touch the rider’s horse' as stated, but he or his faoiEe caught andi 1 broke off the trace hook from the nfiist shaft, as well as breaking ,Ihe lamp.---! am, etc., ALFRED ANSLEY. - ' Christchurch, June 20,1900.
