SOCIAL EVIL.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I read with great pleasure your article on the “Social Cancer,” so-called, flow many propositions have been put forward to meet this crying evil! We all know the punishment first falls on the woman, but most on the child. How do you think it would meet the case for the child to be made the father’s heir, as well as taking his name? Baby-farming and such like evils would be swept away. —I am, etc., JUSTICE.
