The following meetings will be held today : —Selwyn County Council, 10-30 a.m.; Board of Education, 11 a.m. ; Hospital Board, 2 p.m. r Christchurch Cycling Club, welcome to Mr G. Sutherland. The Northcote Kinematograph Company, which has recently appeared with success in Wellington and Dunedin, will commence a season in Christchurch to-morrow in the Theatre Royal. The company will show some realistic pictures of the Transvaal war. The box plan for the dress circle will be open to-day at Messrs Milner and ThompS °Entries for the Christchurch Cycling Club’s Easter meeting will close to-night at the club’s rooms. . The Canterbury College invites tenders for the leases of a number of reserves in Leeston, Weedons and Southbndge disMessrs G. Armstrong, jun., J. Barnett, J. Reid, T. Quayle and R. Latter have been, elected members of the Licensing Committee for the Ellesmere district.
