The "British Medical Journal" of March 18, 1899, contains an interesting statement; by the celebrated Dr Joseph Carne Ross on the treatment of influenza by the Cinnamon Cure. Dr Ross treated thousands of cases, and in no case did Cinnamon Curs fail—majority of case,? cured in 48 hours. 1 A whole mountain of alum is said to exist in China, miles from the village of Lion-Chik, and bears the name of Fan-Chan Mountain. It has a diameter of not less than ten miles at its 'base, and a height of 1940 ft. For centuries the inhabitants of the country have exploited this natural source of. wealth, digging from it yearly, hundreds of tons of alum.
