THE KINEMATOGRAPH.

In the Opera House last evening, the Kinematograph Syndicate gave an entertainment which was • supposed to consist chiefly of pictures in connection with the South African war. A number of pictures were shown, but only two or three could by any stretch of imagination be said to have any connection with the war. Some of the films, though not new, were decidedly good, hut they were not shown to advantage, as the light was very poor. Several songs were sung, and selections were played bv the German Band, which had been engaged as an orchestra. Members of the Fifth Contingent in camp at Addington were present as visitors. A matinee will be given this afternoon, and the entertainment will be repeated this evening.
