United Press 'Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, March 23. Another case of plague is reported. A man named Haydon, residing in Marrickville, is the victim. He bad worked in Sussex Street. There is an active crusade against dirty premises in the city and suburbs, and many persons have been heavily fined. The Cabinet sat throughout to-day considering the plague regulations. It was decided to extend the proclaimed area to Sussex Street. The shipping companies and business people are busy moving, and all their men are engaged in cleansing. Most' of the residents in the proclaimed districts have been iimoculated. "A proclamation was issued' to-night quarantining the infected area, including Kent Street. A cordon of police surrounded the district. The residents have been given the option of re'maining or being removed to the quarantine station. A man named Kelly died suddenly at Surry Hills, it is reported, from plague. Precautions have been taken pending a postmortem.' HOBART, March 23. The Government has declared Sydney an infected port, and pratique will not be granted to vessels till five days .after their departure from Sydney. [Per Press, Association.] AUCKLAND, March 23. The steamer Westralia, now in quarantine at Motuihi, will be inspected by Dr Lewis, health officer, to-morrow afternoon. Should everything be in order, she will come up the harbour in the evening, and will berth at the wharf to discharge on Monday, leaving for the south on Tuesday afternoon. WELLINGTON, March 23. The Government has been advised that Mr Gilruth, who was sent to Sydney in connection with the outbreak of the plague there, will leave Sydney for New Zealand by the Zealandia via Melbourne to-morrow.
