ROAD BOARDS.

MOUNT PEEL. The Mount Peel Road Board-met on March 16; present —Messrs 6. J. Dennis’ton (chairman), B. E. H. Tripp and O. «. Thomson. The Overseer.reported that the men, were absent harvesting.' Mr H. S. Smith wrote offering to supply Ixorse feed, arid the clerk was instructed to advertise for the supply of oats and chaff. The Chief Surveyor wrote asking for a return showing the expenditure of thirds on account of the land fund. The Clerk was instructed to' attend to the matter. The Overseer was instructed to ’ clear out the block cutting at Lynn Ford, and! to put the crossing at Sowerby’s gate in good order. Attention was drawn to the gorse spreading on the r’oads adjoining Mr Blair’s property, and the Clerk was instructed to see that Mr Blair cleared the gorse immediately after harvest. Accounts amounting to £55 9s were passed for payment.
