PRESENTATIONS.
On Wednesday evening a number of friends of Mr J. P. Horner, who has resided at Papanui for a number of years, met at the Papanui Hotel, to bid him farewell before he left the district to take! possession of the Star and Garter Hotel/ at Waikari. Mr D. Buntin occupied the chair, and on behalf of subscribers, presented Mr Horner with a silver combination matchbox and sovereign, case, suitably inscribed, and with a gold-mounted cigar holder.
