MARKET REPORTS.

RAM AND EWE FAIR. There was a large attendance at the ram and ewe fair at ■ Tibwald yesterday. About 6000 ewes and 300 rdms were yarded. The following are some of the prices:—Mr 0. J. Harper sold a line of ewes at from 13s lid to 14s, half-bred ewes, 7s lOd to 13s lid, merino ewes 4s lid to 8s Id, young ewes (four, six and eight-tooth) 13s 9d to 15s 2d, old sheep up to 10s Bd, half-bred rams 2gs to 2|gs, English Leicester ram lambs 2-]gs, Mi’ Grigg’s two-tooths from 4gs to sgs, Mr Digby’s rams 4gs, Mr Bonifant’s ram lambs 21gs, old sheep ig to Shropshires (old sheep) |g to, l£gs, ram lambs 2igs, Mr Grigg’s from 4]tgs to 6gs, Mr Upton’s from 4gs to sgs, Border Leicesters 2|gs to sjgs, Lincolns 2gs, Hampshires 3gs.

DEPLENISHING SALE AT GLENTUI.

The Glentui and Wharfdale properties having been disposed of by the Assets Realisation Board, the live stock and general farm and station plant were sold yesterday by Messrs J. T. Ford and Co., in - conjunction with Mr J. Ingram. • Excellent provision was made to convey buyers and others to the sale,. drags meeting the train at Bennetts for the drive of six or seven miles to the Glentui homestead. Here a substantial lunch was found in readiness in the woplshed, and Mr W. Woodward, who had charge of it, with his assistants, had a busy time for about two hours, as fully 400 visitors had to be provided for. The sale commenced at noon, and samples of the sheep were well displayed in conveniently arranged pens. From the outset it was evident that there were plenty of buyers anxious to secure the lots, and the 22,000 sheep for disposal were all sold' within two hours at highly satisfactory prices. The flock was well dispersed over the North and mid-Canter-bury, and a considerable number of the lots went to farmers. At the close of the sheep sale Mr J. T! Ford complimented Mr J. OHalloran, the manager of -Glentui,, on the. excellent condition of the sheep, and the satisfactory way in which .they had. been presented for sale. Mr Ford also thanked him on behalf of Mr Foster, general manager of the Assets Board, who was present, for his attention to the flock, and its creditable appearance. Three cheers were given for Mr O’Halloran. The sale of horses followed, and the prices realised were also very good l , the price of one draught reaching £46. Details of the sale are as follows: —1500 cross-orecl lambs 9s, 200 do 8s 9d, 500 do 8s sd, 1692 merino lambs 7s 2d, 181 cull cross-bred lambs 7s Id, 119 do merino 3s lid, 1000 four and sixtooth merino ewes 15s Id, 820 do 14s Bd, 1842 eight-tooth merino ewes 12s 4d, 1500 two-tooth merino ewes 13s Id, 1287 fullmouth do 11s lOd, 330 failing do 9s sd, 1600 four and six-tooth half ail'd cross-bred ewes 15s, 150 do 14s 10d, 200 do 14s 9d, 400 do 14s Bd, 1162 two-tooch half and cross-bred ewes 14s 7d, 809 eight-tooth do 13s 6d, 129 failing-mouth cross-bred ewes 12s sd, 700 merino wethers 8s 6d, 973 eighttooth do 8s 6d, 1094 four and six-tooth do 9s, 300 two-toOth half and cross-bred wethers 12s Id, 507 do 11s 9d, 66 merino wethers, mixed ages, 6s lid, 25 aged merino rams rams from 12s 6d to |g, 18 merino rams ss, 46 do ss, 180 woolly sheep 13s; Tbe draught horses sold at from £lB to £46, pack horses at from £l4 to £26 ; and several head of cattle at full market values. The farm and station plant also brought good prices.
