CARD MATCHES.
The Waltham Cribbage Club opened-tho season with, a match against the Wodlston Cribbage Club, which was played in the Woofeton Library on Thursday evening, and resulted in-a win for Waltham by thirtyon© games to twenty-two. After the match, an excellent supper was provided. Songs and recitations were given by Messrs Woodrough, C. J. Lawrence and B. Esher. In the third competition ofihs Rangiora cribbage toamament-on Friday-evening, the Druids beat the Brass Band - by'twenty-one games to nineteen ; the Sons of Temperance beat the Southbrook Fire Brigade by twenty-six to twenty-two; the Rangiora Brigade- beat the Volunteers by twenty-five to fourteen;. and the Oddfellows had a bye.
