METEOROLOGICAL.
WEDNESDAY'S WEATHER.
From Observations Taken- at 9 a.m.
The barometric readings were tairiy even—Cape Maria van Diemen and Wellington 30.00, Christchurcb 30.15, Bluff 30.02. Lignt southerly winds- prevailed excepting in Southland, where the direction was from the northward. At the majority of places there* was fine weather, though rain was experienced at Castle Point, Christchurcii and Bluff. The sea was rough or heavy at- Cape Maria van, Dicvr.cn, Pouto, Castle Point, Cape Campbell, and on the Wetland coast. The temperature ranged from 60deg in the extreme north to 32 at Bealey and 48 at Bluff; Christchurch «4deg. The barometer at Christchurch was rising slightly.
