~• [Peb Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 10. Joseph Myers was this morrring further eeUHnitted for trial on charges of the alleged forgery of the name of N. Fernandos to promissory notes. Bail was allowed. "After the Myers case had been finished, J. P. Mills, whose name had been constantly mentioned in evidence, and who was alleged " by "the accused to have procured ji cheque supposed-*» be signed by Mr Skerre£t, was allowed to give evidence. He said that he haftihad "transactions with Myers, but none aince-May 25, 1897. He had never been; asked by Myers to get Mr Skerrett toroblige tteem wita* his name, and had never got any security or' endorsement from, him that' had Hiytiring to do-with, Myers.
