LIEUT.-COL. EVATT'S EXPEDITION
A SUCCESSFUL ENGAGEMENT.

News has been received that LieutenantColonel Evatt, in charge of ) the Indian troops in Uganda, and who is accompanied by Nagarega auxiliaries, has met the rebels Hinder Kabarega, the slave-hunting King of Unyora, with whom Mwanga, ,the exiled King of Uganda, had taken, refuge, on the east'bank of the Nile. Lieut.-Col. Evatt defeated them, killing three hundred, .and capturing Kabarega and Mwanga. Lieut.-Col. Evatt lost two killed and twenty ,wounded.
