PRESENTATIONS.

A pleasant ceremony took place on Tbnreday in the “ Lyttelton Times Office, when the companionships of the various departments met in the bookbinding-room and presented Miss Bellcmin with a beautiful cruet and dinner service, on the occasion of her approaching marriage. .Mr- JGamble, manager of the departments, made the presentation. Miss Morland has just retired from the position of mistress at the Belfast. School, and on Friday afternoon Mr Ellis, the chairman of the committee, on behalf of theparents, presented her with a silver cake basket and biscuit jar, while she received a handsome travelling mg from the teachers and children. On Monday evening a handsome hanging lamp was presented to Mr J. H. Moriey by the Lodge of Foresters, Kaiapoi, on his leaving the town after serving in the position of secretary to the Lodge for ten years. The inhabitants of Hanxner district presented Miss Cooke, the official masseuse, with a testimonial, accompanied by a cheque, in recognition of her services to the district. On Wednesday evening the friends of Mr and Mre Furze entertained them at a “ social ”in the Dunsahdel Town Hall. During the evening Mr Parker Westenra, cm behalf of the members of St Thomas’s Church, presented Mrs Furze with a silver tea and coffee service and Miss Furze with a watch and chain, as a slight acknowledgment of their services as organist and assistant organart iurthe-chureh..
