MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
The fortnightly meeting of the Women’s Social and Political League was held at -the Art Gallery on Wednesday evening. The Deputy* .president urged the members to continue of. enrolment during the recess; • .. 1 ■ .."•A:.meeting of the Model Yacht Club was -held*'at the Clarendon Hotel last evening. There whs a large attendance, and Mr Seymour, commodore, was in the chair. Several of - the rules were amended, and the following officers wore elected:—Vice-president, Air -F-. Waymouth; vice-commodore, Mr Harrison; treasurer, Mr S. B. Seymour. Arrangements were made for sailing the race for the President’s prize on Saturday.
