MAYORAL ELECTIONS.

SUMNER. The figures for the mayoral election at Sumner were :—Mr E. R. Deacon 06, Mr W. Eollitt 46, informal 1. Mr Deacon was declared elected. WOOLSTON. The mayoral election for Woolston resulted as follows : —Mr J. M. Douglass 174, Mr W. T. Thomas 68, informal 1. Mr Douglas was declared duly elected. LYTTELTON. The election of mayor for the Borough of Lyttelton took place yesterday. The candidates were Mr A. Chalmers, the present occupant of the chair, and Councillor W. Eadcliffe. The result was the return of Mr Kadcliffe, the numbers being:—Mr W. Eadcliffe 201 votes, Mr A. Chalmers 108. KAIAPOI. The mayoral election at Kaiapoi yesterday caused little excitement. Mr Edwin Feldwick, a councillor, was elected, polling 137 votes. Thq other candidate, Mr Reuben Blakely, an ex-mayor, polled S 8 votes. ASHBURTON. The following is the result of the mayoral election at Ashburton.- —Mr Hugo Fnedlander 204 votes, Mr Charles Reid 139. Mr Friedlander was declared elected. TIMAEU. Considerable interest was taken in the mayoral election at Timaru. Mr James Stephen Keith, who polled 292 votes, was elected. Mr James J. Grand!, the retiring mayor, polled 231 votes.

[Pee Peers Association.l AUCKLAND. Nov. 30. Mr Goldie defeated Mr Dignan for the Mayoralty by 1119 votes. Dr Erson was elected Mayor of Onehuot'a, defeating Mrs Yates by 71 votes. ° " MASTEETON, Nov. 30.

The mayoral election to-day resulted in the return of Mr George Heron, who polled 237 votes, against 155 polled by Mr C. A. Pownall, the present Mayor.
