CURRENT NOTICES.
The following meetings will take place to-day Christchurch District Drainage Board, 3 p.m.; Samaritan Home contributors, City Council Chambers, 8 p.m.; Christchurch Cycling Club Committee, rooms, Cashel Street, 8 p.m. • Canterbury Eugby Union, Clarendon Hotel, 8 p.m. The first annual concert of the Society of Professional Musicians, to be given at the Choral Hall on Thursday, July 21, promises to be a most successful one. An excellent programme has been arranged, and already a number of tickets have been sold. At St John’s schoolroom, Latimer Square, this evening, there will be a teameeting and concert, with a number of tableaux. The ladies of the East Belt Wesley Church will hold a sale of work in the schoolroom to-day, to-morrow and Thursday, when a large and varied assortment of useful articles will be offered for sale. During each, evening there will be vocal and instrumental .items. The proceeds will, b'e devoted to extinguishing the circuit debt.
