Wheelmen’s Executive, Clarendon Hotel, 8 p.m.; Fanciers’ Club, at rooms, Cashel Street, 8 p.m.; Builders and Contractors’ Association, at Rooms, Hereford'Street, 8 p.m. The committee of the Christchurch Beautifying- Association will meet at the City Council Chambers at 8 o’clock tomorrow evening. The annual meeting of subscribers to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will be held in the City Council Chamber at 7.30 on Wednesday evening. The Mayor will preside, and addresses wilt be given by the Eight Rev Dr Julius and others. A musical programme is being arranged by Mr A. Corrick. Mr H. W. Bishop will hold an Assessment Court at the Cheviot Town Hall on May 26 for the No. 13 special district, which embraces the Eaiwarra, Hawkeswood, Waiau, Lowry, Hurunui and Seaward Ridings. The annual meeting of the Sydenham Prohibition League will be held in the Wesleyan schoolroom to-night. Refreshments and a good programme of music will be provided. <. •
