SWIMMING.

The Richmond Swimming Club held two races at its bath on Saturday afternoon the Electric Dash Handicap of 25yds and the final heat of the 100yds Handicap. There was a considerable gathering of spectators. Mr P. Ward acted as starter, Mr A. Wilson as check starter, Messrs A. Drayton and W. Snowball as judges, and Mr G. W. Cooke as time-keeper. The following are the results :

Sinclair) was swum off in the West Christchurch school baths on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance, and the racing was excellent, all the heats being very keenly contested. The following axe the results. First heat: W. Roger, 12 sec. Second heat: C. Noble, 9sec. Third heat: F. Cooper, 7sec. Fourth heat: G. J. C. Smart, scr. Final heat; W. Roger, 1; F. Cooper, 2; C. Noble, 3. Won by six inches, the second and third being almost a dead heat.
