The issue of the Bank of England department stock of gold coin and bullion is £30,872,000, and the reserve £23,515,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 42-97. In circulation, £26,675,000; public deposits, £19,618,000 ; other deposits, £35,002,000 ; Government securities, £14,209,000; other securities, £36,367,000.

Three months’ bills are discounted at 2| per cent. Consols 11 If.

New South Wales 4 per cent stock 118 f, 3i per cent 105 f, 3 per cent 98f; Victorian 4 per cent, lllf, 31- percent, 104; South Australian 3-j per cent ID9, 3 per cent 99; Queensland 4 per cent 109 f, 3J per cent 104; New Zealand 4 per cent 114 f, H per cent 107, 3 per cent 99f; Tasmanian 3£ per cent 106; West Australian 3£ per cent 106.
