Nelson, in an interview with! regard to Sir Thomas M’Hwraith’s dispute, declares emphatically that neither he nor his colleagues were aware of the contents, of the committee’s report until it was pre-i sented. He had shown Sir Thomas' M’llwraith every consideration, and.had| kept every promise made when Sir Thomas was in Germany. He said nothing about the alleged secret partnership with Drury, the late general manager of the Queens-' land National Bank. DEVELOPMENT OF TRADE. SYDNEY, Maech 25. .
The Government is considering the pro-; posals -of its agents in America, Eng-: land and Europe, to develop the produce 1 trade.
Dr Cobb, the pathologist of the Agricultural Department, has resigned. He in-; tends to visit, Europe to pursue scientific' work. He has undertaken to represent the' Government, and to report on any new avenues of trade that may come under his 1 observation.
