WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD.

The monthly meeting of this Board was held on Monday evening; present —Messrs Lissaman (chairman), IV right, Cniiton, Doubledav, Ilayman, Hyatt, Horrell, M’Lachlan and Parnham. Correspondence was received from the Minister of Marine Pushing the Board’s reason for wishing to rescind the hy-law relating to the pilot. It was decided to inform the Minister that the Board considered the present by-law misleading and wished the insertion of one which would apply to a signalman. A deputation from the Cure Boating’ Club interviewed the Board relative to the leasing of the section on which the shod stood, The request was for the insertion of a clause in the lease that would guarantee to the club the reerection of the siied in case of fire.
