A CLAIM FOR A REFUND.
("Per Press Association. I AUCKLAND, Sept. 6. :Mr Henry Brett, proprietor of the Evening Star, is suing the Collector of Customs for a refund of .£709, being 20 per cent’ duty charged on five linotype machines of. an ad valorem value of <£3546. Plaintiff alleges that the ‘ goods are free from duty, or, as an alternative, that more than 5 per cent duty cannot be charged.
