TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The thanks of the travelling community are due to you for calling atiention to the slow trains •on the Springfield line. Your remarks are equally appropriate to the Kaiapoi-Oxford aud Bangiora-Oxford branch lines. To busy men who' are constantly about the funeral-like method of transit is vexatious.
