A very successful clearing • and land sale was. -conducted by the- New Zealand Loan . and Mercantile Agency Company and Messrs H. Matson and Co. at Chertsey yesterday. , Mr Calcutt offered, the farm first, and after spirited competition it was- sold to Mr ■Peter Doig;' of Chertsey, at £5 per acre.
