AUCKLAND INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.
[Peb Pbess Assocxation.l AUCKLAND, July 29; . • Already over ,£3OOO has been guaranteed for the Industrial and Mining Exhibition to be held in Auckland next year. It is intended to run a large gold court in 'connection with the exhibition. The committee hopes to got a Government subsidy of £IOOO. At a meeting held yesterday, if was resolved to ask the Governor to be the, patron. • Mr B. Kent, chairman of the Chamber, of Commerce, was elected president, and a strong committee was formed, including the Mayors of Gisborne,. Thames, Onehunga and New Plymouth, Mr R. C. Bishop of Christchurch (President of the Canterbury Industrial Association), Mr. H. B. Kirk, (President’ of the* last Canterbury Industrial (ion), Mr Samuel Brown (late President-of] the Wellington Industrial Exhibition), And Mr W. H. Milward (the general manager <if the Gear; Wellington). 1
