CRICKET.
TEMUKA CLUB. A general meeting of the members of the Temuka Cricket Club was held'm Mr Dunn’s rooms on Monday evening. A financial report showed that there was a prospect of a liability of -£0 at the end of the season. A sub-committee, consisting of Messrs Ferguson, Brown and the Secretary, was appointed to collect outstanding subscriptions, and a committee was set up to arrange for an entertainment. The Chairman then presented the, bats won during the season. Mr D. Ferguson was the winner of the President’s bat with an average of 18’6 and of a bat given by Mr Boyd Thomson. Mr Cecil Brown secured Mr Bean’s bat for the best bowling average. The presentations were suitably acknowledged, and Mr Ferguson expressed his intention of giving a bat for competition next season. _
