THE Proprietors of tlie “ Lyttelton Times," realising the necessity for a thoroughly up-to-date Cycling Paper, have determined to supply the want hy issuing, on April 3rd, a Weekly Journal, devoted_ entirely to Cyoling. The Paper will he published on Saturday of each week, and will contain everything appertaining to Cycling in all its branches that can he of interest to readers and the general public. , SPECIAL ARTICLES will be supplied on Current Topics, and the General News and Notes will deal with Cycling in all parts of the world. Sketches will be given of Notable Cyclists, and 'he ierB'onal Items will be supplied by the most reliable authorities. Hints and Advice will bo given to beginners and experienced riders, and Accounts of Tours and directions to Tench Places worth Visiting will be made special features of the paper. The CORRESPONDS NTS’ PAGO will be open for the tree discussion of any subject of general interest, and the REPORTS OP RACE MEETING’S and the comments, on Racing Performances will all be famished hy experts. The ILLUSTRATIONS, of which there will ho a liberal supply each week, will include sketches of Latest Inventions and Novelties, photographs of Famous People and a variety of pictures that will interest and instruct the reader. THE INTENTION OF THE PUBLISHERS IS TO MAKE THE “ NEW ZEALAND CYCLIST" THE BEST CYCLING PAPER PUBLISHED IN THE COLONIES. Arrangements have been made with the publishers of those most interesting and beautiful works, ** BEAUTIFUL BRITAIN ’’ and “ GLIMPSES OP THE WORLD,” comprising conjointly 448 views, which will enable the proprietors of the “ NEW ZEALAND CYCLIST” to present to each subscriber during the first six months a full set of one or other of these artistic portfolios at a purely nominal price. The Annual Subscription to the ** NEW ZEALAND CYCLIST ” is 10s per annum. A full set of either of the Portfolios above-named will he forwarded to each cash subscriber tor the small sum ot Ss 6d. This charge is made to cover the cost of dispatching, posting and other expenses.
