The weather was fine and the attendance large. The sum of <£(1373 was passed through the totalisator, which, added to the amount handled on the first day, constitutes a total of £12,252 , for the meeting. In tho City Stakes, Lotion, favoured hy a light weight, led for the greater portion of the distance and won comfortably. Day Star finished well, but the weight told. Bounding the hill bend The Miser joined Lotion, but at the top of the straight he faded away, and Huna going in pursuit of tho loader failed to get up, and Lotion won all out by a length from Huna, with Day Star three lengths away third, Lorelei fourth and Strathbraan last.
