THE CRETAN CRISIS.
SKIRMISHES. [Per Press Association.] LONDON, March 23. In the House of Commons Mr Curzon stated that the Powers would select the ruler of Crete, and would determine the form of autonomy. ATHENS, March 23. Several skirmishes have taken place between the Cretan insurgents and the Turks at Malatua, the former trying to prevent the Turks from provisioning the fort. The Russian Ambassador at Athens had a prolonged interview with King George with regard to the situation.
