Public Notices. CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD, KATE NOTICE. T&TOTICE is hereby given that at a Special X'll Meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board, called for that purpose, and held at the Office of the Board, in the City of Christchurch, on the 16th day of March, 1897, the said Board did resolve and direct that a GENERAL BATE BE LEVIED for the purposes of the Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1873, and the Acts, amending the same, and the said Board fixed the amount of the said Kate as to the Districts of the City of Christchurch and Christchurch Suburban (which latter district is defined by resolution of the Board bearing date the twentv-seventh day of Juno, 1881) at THREE EARTHINGS in the POUND upon the rateable value of the rateable property within the said districts respectively. And as to the district of Rural Sydenham (as defined by resolution of the Board hearing date the twenty-fourth day of August, 1881) at THREE EARTHINGS in the POUND; as to the district of Rural Avon (as defined by resolution of the Board bearing date the twelfth day of February, 1889) at THREE FARTHINGS in the POUND; as to the district of Rural Heatlicote (as defined by resolution of the Board bearing date the twelfth day of February, 1889) at THREE FARTHINGS in the POUND; as to the district of Rural Eiccarton (as defined by resolution of the Board bearing date the twelfth day of February, 1889) at THREE FARTHINGS in the POUND; and as to the district of Rural Spreydon (as defined by resolution of the Board bearing date the twenty-fourth day of August, 1881) at THREE FARTHINGS in the POUND upon the Rateable Value of the Rateable Property within the said Districts respectively. And the Board did further direct that the period for which the said Bate should he struck should be for that commencing on the First Day of January, 1897, and ending on the Thirty-first Day of December, 1897, and that the Rate shall be payable in ONE SUM on a date to be fixed by the Local Bodies making the same respectively. And NOTICE is FURTHER GIVEN that a SPECIAL MEETING of the said BOARD will be held at the Board’s Offices, Hereford Street, Christchurch, on WEDNESDAY, the Fourteenth Day of April, L 97, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., to CONFIRM the said Resolution.
