The Cumberland Referees’ Society (says the Athletic News') has been in communication with Mr Rowland Hill with reference to one or two “ knotty ” points of the law, and that gentleman’s replies were: — Question I.—lf a centre three-quarter kick the ball and bo unable to follow up and place his men on side, can the wing three-quarter do this ?
