[Per Press .Association."! WELLINGTON. Feb. 6. Messrs Levin and Co. have acceded to the demands of the seamen and firemen. Applications to the Conciliation Board with respect to Messrs Turnbull and Co , the Anchor line, and C. W. Turner, have been filed. The usual monthly meeting of the Canterbury Trades and Labour Council was held on Saturday. Correspondence .was received from the -Bootmakers’ Union stating that the Federated Boot Trade Council was having the whole of the proceedings before the Court of Arbitration in the recent boot trade dispute printed in pamphlet form. It was resolved that the Council should procure a sufficient number of copies for its members. After dealing with routine business the meeting terminated.
