CHiasTCHUKOI-r. Monday, Due. 23. (Before Mr H. W. Bjlhop, S.M.) Drunkenness. —Two first offenders were each fined 5s and costs ; in default twentyfour hours’ imprisonment.—Alice llling was convicted and discharged, as tho authorities of St Mary's Homo offered to take charge of her. Alleged Assault.— Samuel M’Cormick was charged with having, on Dec. 25, assaulted his wife, Eliza M’Cormick. Mr Joyce appeared for tho accused. As the man’s wife did not wish to press the charge, it was withdrawn by. leave of the Bench, tho accused to pay expenses.
