IN MEMORIAM.
Christensen.— ln loving remembrance of Metta , Marie Christensen, who died Match Slst, 1895, after a long and painful illness, borne with great patience. Dear mother, we did love you, but that love we never knew , Till Death’s dark shadow hid you from our daily view; We never knew your worth, - dear mother, nor missed the love you gave, , Until, within the lonely earth, your silent form we laid. •Twas hard to part with you, wife, dear; When tho end came we little thought it so near. ’Tis sinful, we know, to wish you were here But life is so lonely without one so dear. Dear mother, thou are gone but not forgotten. Never shall thy memory fade; Farewell, dear mother, thy life is past, But our love for yon to the end will last. By S. and P.C.
