KINCAID’S G.1.C., X 1512 161, COLOMBO STREET, CHRISTCHURCH. CANDLES. It is generally thought that the Best Candles in the market must be the English. This is no correct. The N ew Zealand Cmndle Company of Wellington, recently sent the Manager to the West Coast to test their candles with the English Brands, with a view to overcoming the strong prejudices which existed amongst the miners against anything made in the colonies. The NEW ZEALAND CANDLE COMPANY’S CANDLES were tried in 13 Mines, and, w thout exception, every Mine Manager admitted the superiority of the “FRENCH SPERM” BRAND. The following Testimonials'are specimens of many received by the New Zealand Candle Company •> “ I have pleasure in certifying that for a considerable time past I have been using your FRENCH SPERM CANDLES in the Wealth of Nations Mine, and find they are of excellent quality and well suited for mining purposes. (Signed) Thomas Watson, Manager.” "I received sample of FRENCH SPERM CANDLES, and tested them very carefully in the Mine, and also in the house. I find them equally as good an article as English candles. (Signed) James Greenish, Manager Globe Gold-mining Co.” The POPULAR BRANDS of this Company are;— “FRENCH SPERM," “BRITISH SPERM,” “ FIVE MEDAL," and “ PREMIER.” The two latter brands are the cheapest Candle obtainable, but are nevertheless very good quality. The “ British Sperm ’’ is a very superior Stearine and Paraffine Candle, while the “French Sperm" is made from the finest hard wax. No one should pay a high price for an English Candle now that the NEW ZEALAND CANDLE COMPANY is turning out such excellent quality at very low prices. All the Grocers in Christchurch and Suburbs now keep stocks of this Company’s candles. Remember the Brands.
