The only business done on Saturday was the backing of Music and Chesterman at 100 to 5 and Chesterman and Valiant at 100 to 10. Courallie is a strong favourite for the Doncaster Handicap at 100 to 12. MELBOURNE, March 28. The Victoria Racing Club has not altered the Melbourne Cup money for next season, but the Maribyrnong Plate is increased ■ to <£7so, the Derby Stakes to .£IOOO, and the Ascot Vale Stakes to .£SOO. The racehorses Bessie M’Carthy, Liberator and Saracen were landed out of the steamer Tasmania from Wellington on Saturday.
