[Per Press Association.] A SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION. SYDNEY, March 2-7. The steamer Croydon is being fitted for a scientific expedition to the Great Barrier reef, off the Queensland coast, on behalf of the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Cambridge, Massachusetts. Professor Agassiz will have charge of the expedition. It is expected that the exploration will occupy several months. PROBATE DUTY. ' MELBOURNE, March 27. The Treasury has received from the executors of the late Sir Samuel Wilson a cheque for .£41,634, probate duty on the estate.
