AN INDUSTRIAL HALL.
TO,,THE EDITOR. Sir, —The splendid financial result of the Canterbury Industrial Association’s recent exhibition brought forth the suggestion that the Association should obtain a building to be used as an Industrial Hall. As several months have now passed without anything being done by the members likely to lead to a practical result, a friend of mine suggests that the Association might cause inquiries to be made regarding the building known as the Temple of Truth, and of its suitability for the purpose. I am informed that the building is for sale, and that it would suit admirably for the purpose, being in a central position; also that a scheme of deriving revenhe from the property could be arranged without encroaching heavily on the Association’s funds. Perhaps the Managing Committee or other members will take the matter up,—l am, &c.,' ' A MEMBER OP THE INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.
