[Pee Peess Association.] LONDON, March 19. Silver is it 2s 7-}d. Wool is very firm, and will probably remain so till the close of the series. An excellent selection was offered at the wool sales. Prices are unchanged. Maech 20. Mr Long, President of the Board of Agriculture, said that he did not doubt that New Zealand cattle were free' from disease, but they must consider the condition of the ports of call.
NAPIEE, Maech 20. The following cable has been received from Messrs Nelson Brothers, London : At to-day’s market the quotations are— Best Canterbury mutton 3?}d per lb ; best Dunedin mutton Bgd per lb; best North Island and Napier mutton 2£d per lb. The outlook is hid. Stocks of Australian and Eiver Plate sheep are very heavy. SHIPPING. WELLINGTON, Maech 20. The Gothic arrived at Plymouth on Wednesday with her meat in good condition.
