Mr Nathan’s meeting yesterday was j attended by about two hundred stock- ; owners, representing every part of the « district and owning half a million of sheep. A resolution was carried that tha Minister of Agriculture should be requested to call n conference of representative sheep-farmers to take into consideration some moans of I improving the markets for frozen mutton, on Mr Nathan’s plan, and formulate a system dealing with the msttsr which will ameliorate the position of the farmers and advance the interests of the colony.
