Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations . Monday, May 13. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Omapere, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.30 a.m. ; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Timaru, per Ooriana, at 3 p.m.; late foe letters, 3,15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Wednesday, May 15. For United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, and West Indies, (viA San Francisco), Sandwich Islands ana Samoa, and also for Northern Porta of New Zealand, per Takapaua, as follows: —Ordinary letters, 7.45 p.m.; late lee letters, 8 p.m.; books and newspapers, 7.30 p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m.; money orders, 4 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.15 p.m, train. Due London June 19. The next parcel mail for the United Kingdom will close os May 16, per Kaikoura. aasatszsxet Note. — la future tho afternoon delivery will commence at 2 p.m. ia place of 3 p.m., and will Is extended to certain portions of the suburbs.
