THE Education Board of the District of North Canterbury hereby publicly notifies that the Householders of the School Districts of Alford Forest, Bromley, Carleton, Flemiugton, Huruuui, Killinehy, Kimberley, Longbeach, Lowcliile, Robinson’s Bay, Rotherham, Sedgemere and Stoke having failed to elect Committees, the Board directs that Public meetings of the Householders in each of the said districts be held on MONDAY, the 3rd June, 1895, at half-past seven o’clock iu the evening, lor the Election of Committees for such districts for the year ending witli the fourth Monday iu April, ISBS. The place of meeting shall be the Sohoolbonse in each district. The number of membera-to bo-©looted will be:— For Hurunui, Lowcliile, Robinson’s Bay and Stoke five; and for Alford Forest, Bromley, Carleton, Fleming ton, Killinehy, Kimberley, Longbeach, Rotherham and Sedgmere seven. . The Board further directs that the first meeting of each School Committee he held in the place appointed for the election, and immediately after the election upon the same evening. The Board further, in accordance with the provisions of the School Committees Election Act, 1331, calls upon the householders of each of the districts to send to the Chairman of the School Committee, and in the case of Alford Forest to Mr Andrew McFarland, in • writing, on or before Monday, the 27th May, the names of persons being resident householders nominated by them for election to serve upon the Committee. Such nominations must be signed by the proposer and by the candidate, and must be in the form set forth in the schedule to the Act, or to the effect thereof. In addition to such nominations, any householder present at the meeting may nominate any qualified candidate who consents, by word of mouth or by writing, to be so nominated. J.
