CHARGE OF MURDER.
[Tint Pbess Association.! INVEECAEGILL, Mat 9. At Wintoa, fcc-day, Minnie Dean, wife of Charles Doan, was arrested on a charge of having, oa or about May 3, murdered an infant named Eva Hornsby. She was brought before justices, and remanded to May 16, to appear at Milton, Otago, The arrest was made by Detectives M’Grath (Dunedin) and Herbert. Accused baa for several years made a business of keeping infants, and was once before the Court on a .charge of neglecting several children under her care, but_ wan then Bcqulttad. The police are reticent as to tha dotails.of the present charge, but it ia understood" that the infant in regard to which tha charge is brought was about a month old.
