ASHBURTON AMATEUR SWIMMING CLUB. The annual meeting of tho Ashburton Amateur Swimming Club was held at too Domain Baths, Ashburton, yesterday. Tho swimming championships of New Zealand will be continued 'at Lancaster Park this afternoon, when the half-mile, plunging and diving championships will bo decided. Oao of tbo features of the meeting will be an exhibition of lifesaving drill by Dr P. J. Kelly and Messrs .Loo, Proudfoot and Davis, members of the Now South Wales team. The first event will start at 2,30 sharp. CHRISTCHURCH SWIMMING CLUB. This club will hold its annual races in the Lancaster Park bath oa Saturday afternoon. The lOOydo Championship of New Zealand will bo the principal event.
